VHS to PC....think my computer has a capture card??

    I'm a newbie and just want to know very simply how to transfer VHS to PC.
    I have a new HP and it can get TV (if I wanted it to), so I'm thinking it has a capture card?? Under "sound, video and game controllers" it lists "Hauppage WinTV HVR 1800 Combo ATSC/QAM".
    Do I just plug in the red/white/yellow RCA jacks from the VCR to the red/white/yellow jacks on the front of my computer?
    Thanks. Sorry, I'm not proficient in this sort of stuff.
