    hello,
i,ve an average video recorder with 2 scart connections.
i,ve tried to capture content using premiere pro (matrox rtx 1000 capture card) using composite and s-video from the recorder to the matrox breakout box but there is no signal (picture) when trying to capture.
perhaps i need a higher standard of video recorder (s-vhs)??
    any ideas?
    thank you

You need to provide more details about your issue.
Try to connect the VCR with the same VHS to TV and check if you get the picture. Next take video output from TV and try to capture it. The idea is to understand what is your problem VCR or Capture card.
    Good luck

    hello ,
i have a signal (using a male/female cable) when playing the vhs on the vcr to the tv,
but not when using the scart(from the vcr) and the rca leads (to the tv).

there are 2 scart connections on the rear of the vcr and i have tried both of these.

this is also the same when connecting to the edit system. I have used these 2 scart ports for 1:scart-composite and 2:scart-s video and i cannot pick up a signal.

    thanks
