my front speaker keeps vibrating at a certain deep pitch has anyone had this problem before? i think its because the wall brackets is plastic, can anyone recomend a good wall braket(s) that dont vibrate and also a good set of speakers and amp? cheers guys.
Yes, your speaker has reached the resonance frequency for the cabinet. That is why your speaker is vibrating. For reqs on speaker and amp combo, what is your budget ? Plastic wall brackets do not help in general vibration problems
If you can, try taking the speaker apart, You could have a piece of internal bracing come lose. (if it has any) What brand of speaker is it? But as 1bonehead said it's more than likey cabinet resonance.
the speakers came from a samsung dvd/surround system HT-Q20, i only use the speakers now as i use my x-box 360 as a dvd player and a sony STR-DG510 receiver for surround sound, as for money for speakers and brackets, the speakers i have are 80watts which is loud enough for my house, unless someone can say that for £100 the quality of sound in a different speaker set is much better then i would change, i suppose what i'm after is a decent bracket that wont vibrate all the others seem good.
Hey is it possible that a simple rubber washer may prevent the vibration? Odds are I misunderstand the problem. :/
If your speakers are set to "Large", try setting them to "Small". Your speaker may not be able to handle the LFE going to it, if they're set to Large. I had my fronts do something similar, with a particular movie, until I set them to small......... Good luck!
