Hey guys... I have a file i have played form my camcorder onto my Archos Multimedia player. Then i took it from my media player and uploaded it onto my computer. Its uploaded as an AVI file. Duration is about 2 half hours long.. When i play the file in Media player or Realplayer it says playing but it dosnt actually play http://img277.imageshack.us/img277/11/unti5547hp.png Heres the link to my Gspot results i dont think theres anyproblems
Did you already push the button "Render" in the bottom of the Gspot window? It should tell you which filters are actually used when the file is played onyour system.
Video Path (S) --> Avi Splitter --> ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder --> (R) Audio Path: (S) --> Avi Splitter --> ffdshow Audio Decoder --> (R) Video src type: 4cc: DIVX audio SRC: DVI_ADPCM (0x0011) Also i just conveted the file to WMV (just to see if it would work) it plays straight away (unlike the other AVI version takes forever to start playing) But i can only hear sound. Normally when this happens i tell people to install Codecs Ect.. But im pretty sure i have a codec to support this file as i am always downloading Codecs! Also i downloaded a DivX Codec with Divx Player. The file played perfectly in there. But what i want to do with the file (moviemaker Dvd burning) it wont let me doo. Anyhelp please!! Thank you
This is your problem: you're installing too may of them and at the end you may run into conflicts. Try remove all MPEG-4 compatible codecs and just leave the DivX codec on your system. Impossible, you can not burn DVD's with MovieMaker. First of all it has no MPEG-encoder on board, secondly there is no DVD authoring module...
sorry i didnt mean moviemake dvdburner i meant to put a comma in there. Movie maker and dvd burner. How do i remove codecs?? Thanks for your reply though!
Go to the Device Manager. Open the branch "Sound, Video and Game controllers". Double-click Video codecs. Go to the tab "Properties". Select the codec you want to remove and press the "Remove" button.
