Hello, Can somebody recommend some good video capture softwares that will work with my Hauppauge card so I can use to capture video from my camcorder??? I tried downloading some other software, but none of them seem to work with my card. Thank you, olimits7
I like Nero Vision. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_capture_tools/nerovision_express.cfm It isn't free, but it works great.
WinTV is OK. Have you tried AMCap? it okay too... WinTV and also Windows Media Center, has severe latency... If you want to play video games, it wont work. there is like a half second delay from the real time video that's playing. Since you're using it to capure video from your camcorder.. latency isn't an issue
The delay is mostly because of the encoder -> buffer -> decoder cycle. There is a registry setting that can get you live preview from the Hauppauge cards.
