I purchased Dazzle DVC90 which came with Pinnacle 9

As soon as I try to capture either as AVI or MPEG my system freezes!!

I have contacted Pinnacle but after many suggestions for what is my problem - they do not appear to be able to help? I even returned the DVC90 unit back to Germany - still no fix.
As you can believe frustration is setting in!

My system is XP Home SP2
    Intel 3.2gb CPU
    750mb RAM
    2 hard disks - 40gb and 120gb
    USB 2.0

    Anybody any clues - Please

Well the First thing you should do is Return that piece of crap device as soon as possible and get something else as the DVC 90 is an awefull capture device even when it does work.....

When Buying any USB Capture device you should allways get one that uses hardware Compression because withoput it there is not enough Bandwidth to efficiently transfer Uncompressed Video to your PC without some Quality loss and/Or Frame Drops which results in sync problems....

You are actually MUCH better off getting an Internal PCI capture Card unless you are willing to spend the extra Money for a High Quality USB or Firewire capture device with hardware Compression....

You can get a good PCI card Like the "Hauppage WinTV PVR-150" for about $100 or a "ATI Tul Theatre 550 Pro" for $100 both which use High Quality hardware Mpeg=2 compression......

    Cheers
