Hello fellow humans, we are BEGGING for your knowledge here-
We just want to make video captures from our dvd's (you know, hit
pause when the girl with the great Legs shows up, then 'capture it' as a jpg. Eveyone is doing it, yet we can not!
Appologies if this has shown up, we just read a lot of what is on this forum but could not find the answer. Here is our info:

    United States
    HP dvd 740 (burner/player) in c.p.u.
    Windows 2000 (not "M.E.")
When playing a dvd in the player/burner it automatically plays in "real player" (not w.media player).

If we absolutely must plug an outside/external dvd player into the cpu that is okay, *but PLEASE tell us how. (We have asked so many, but the 'answers' are always scattered and never work).

Again, we would GREATLY appreciate ANY assistance on this.
Thank you, Danke schon, Spaseebah, Grazi, Gracias, Todah, Szi szi,
    Do jay, Merci, yupa, etc...!

You don't have to let your OS file associations choose your player for you. You can use any software DVD player you like (PowerDVD, Nero Showtime, Media Player Classic, etc.)

Most every software player will let you do screengrabs. Media Player Classic is a free download and will do screengrabs of your DVD. File, Save Image.

No problem, glad you got it working. Happy to give the GROOVY suggestions, in a retro yet techno sort of way.

Godt å se at "dere" er lykkelig :)

I'm living in the US right now, New Hampshire. But I've been to New Jersey lots of times. Paramus area, Route 17, close to NYC, very fun times.

Erik is a great Norwegian name. Check my sig!
