Hello. I'm looking for a program that will check that videos I have Xvid, DivX, SVCD, KVCD ect. for errors, glitches, and early end of videos. I have been having a problem, I have a ton of videos but I don't want to go thru them manually to check them. I tend to burn them to DVD without checking them, and then I got to watch, and theres glitches or the movie length is short ect. Is there any software that could help me out? Thanks V.S.
I think Part of your Problem (The Glitches at the End of the DVD) is Not Caused from the Files them selves but from burning at Too High of a Speed or useing Crappy Media or a Combination of the Two.. If you use Crapy Media and/Or burn at too high of a Speed when you get close to the end of the DVD you will Get Stops and Starts and a Jittery effect or the Movie will seem to end early...This Is Caused from Burn errors at the end of the DVD which is Were the errors are more Likey to be.... Try burning your DVD"s at Half there Rated Speed, Meaning if you are useing 8X Disks burn them at 4x speed and if you are useing 4x disks burn them at 2x speed, This will Probably Solve your Problem or at least Lessen the Problem but if it doesn"t then I suggest you switch to a Better Brand of Media..... Also you can Check your Files By simply Playing them in a Media Player and Scanning through the file to see that it is all there and that it Plays Back Correctly or if you are Looking for Corrupted Frames or errors in the File you can use something like "Virtual-Dub" to Scan the File for errors.....
