I bought a sony cibershot digital camera and i have been shooting videos with. It it takes fairly good videos if you use the 640 fine setting but a 8 sec video takes up like 25 megabits im not sure what format it records in. My question is if anybody knows what format it records in and if there is a program out there I can use to compress the video to take up less disk space mainly to email the vidoes any help will be great.

Copy the file onto your PC and load it into something like GSpot. Probably MJPEG though with PCM audio.

Well for VCD 25MB would be 2.5mins, however you have 4X. But yeah still seems a bit much. Does it use mp2 audio?
