i have spent the day d/l programs and reading forums because i am having problems coverting a divxmpg4 v3 file into a file i can use with dvd shrink so i can burn this entire movie onto one dvd. from what i understand i needed to use tmpgenc which i did before using dvd author but after waiting 3hrs for the conversion using tmpgenc the file ended up over 2 GB in size and it had no sound. please someone help i am very new to this and all i want to do is burn movie files from my cpu to dvds.

TMPGEnc has issues with VBR mp3, so perhaps your file used this?
2GB's is not an issue as a DVD holds ~4.37GB. Quick fix would be to use ffmpeg to convert the audio from your source to an AC3 file, then just use that together with your video in TMPGEnc DVD Author.
