Hello Hello I started a thread in another section - perhaps this is where I need to be: I've concludes a few things here: Pinnacle Studio 9 seems to be about par with Ulead Studio 8? Except I think Ulead is a nicer program. Pinnacle Studio 9's rendering capability is very unstable (especially when inserting stills in the video overlay track). And Studio 9's pan and zoom are inferior compared to Ulead Studio 8. I did have a question regarding Ulead's Studio 8 HDV capabilty: The sofware is adverised as supporting HDV thru a plug in for Sony's HDR-HC1. I suppose this is EXCLUSIVE to the Sony HDR-HC1, and perhaps not applicable to any other HDV Cam Corder's?? http://www.ulead.com/vs/new.htm 'MagiX Movie Edit Pro v10' appears to be strictly a beginers (easy 123 type of software) But now for the big boys: How bout comparing 'Sony Vegas Video 6' to Ulead's 'Media Studio Pro': http://www.ulead.com/msp/runme.htm Looks like I may go for one of these.... Actually "Magix Movie Edit Pro 10" is Far More Advanced than "Pinnacle Studio 9/10" and "Ulead Video Studio 8" and believe it or Not it is More Versitile and advanced than Sony Vegas Video 6 which is My editor of Choice..... I would actually Put it about a step Below Adobe Premier...It is Not at All a 123 type of Software, It is a Multi-Track audio and Video editor that Has a HUGE Variety of effect and Filters...I am actually embarassed to say that I had a Very hard Time Lerning how to use it as it was far More Complex than "Sony Vegas Video 6" and I did 3 years of Broadcasting School were I learned to be an editor..... If you want a Editing Software with professinal Features for Dirt Cheap (Under $50) then it is a Good one to Get and it is one of the only Cheap editors that supports HD Video.... Another Good one is the New "Ulead Media Studio Pro 8" which is a Full Featured Multi-Track Video/Audio editor that also has CGI Effects and Video Paint Features which Vegas doesn"t have and it also has Support for HD Video..... Yes, they market the Software as if it were a Simple 123 software but once you Install it and Have a Look at the Interface and the Features and you quickly relaize that it is Far more advanced than they Make it out to be and For the Price there is no editor that even comes close to it"s Features.....
