Hello Hello I'm very sorry if I double posted - (I tried to delete my other misplaced threads) I'm sorry I started a thread in another section where 'Minion' was very helpful. This section is perhaps where I need to be: I've been using Pinnacle Studio 9, and after also using Ulead SE 8, I've concluded a few things: Pinnacle Studio 9 seems to be about par with Ulead Studio 8? Except I think Ulead Studio 8 is a nicer program. Pinnacle Studio 9's rendering capability is very unstable (especially when inserting stills in the video overlay track). And Studio 9's pan and zoom are inferior compared to Ulead Studio 8. I did have a question regarding Ulead's Studio 8 HDV capabilty: The sofware is advertised as supporting HDV thru a plug in for Sony's HDR-HC1. I suppose this is EXCLUSIVE to the Sony HDR-HC1, and perhaps not applicable to any other HDV Cam Corder's?? http://www.ulead.com/vs/new.htm 'MagiX Movie Edit Pro v10' appears to more of a beginners-type (easy 123 type of software) http://site.magix.net/index.php?18200 But now for the big boys: How bout comparing 'Sony Vegas Video 6' http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/products/showproduct.asp?pid=965 to Ulead's 'Media Studio Pro': http://www.ulead.com/msp/runme.htm Looks like I may go for one of these....
