Ok, i converted a movie to mpeg2 using Mainconcept and then when I used TMPGEcm DVD author, it said that the movie had to be a certain size (720 x 480 i think). So wut i did was i went back to Mainconcept and the movie was in (760 x 480)<--not sure but somewhere around there. So i changed it maually to 720 x 480. After converting it to mpeg2 again with these settings, it worked on TMPGEcm DVD author, and i burned it onto a DVD+R. However when i played the movie on my DVD player, the image was stretched vertically, meaning every1 looked thin. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Also, all my movies come in different size (blah x blah) so do i just change it to (720 x 480) or wuts the deal? Is there a prog that fits it with black bars or something? Thanks.

I have never used TMPGEnc DVD Author and there may be better methods, but here is how I achieve a proper Aspect Ratio in MainConcept. First, go to www.tomzavodny.cz/program/bitcalc/index_en.php (you may have to manually enter this) and download their resolution resizer. Use the resolution calculator on the right (#8), input your source resolution, select PAL or NTSC (720 x 576 or 720 x 480) and this will give you a resize resolution to use in MainConcept's Crop and Scale. Untick keep proportions and encode as 4.3. To encode as 16.9, increse the height by 1.33.
