Hello! I got a strange problem with some MPEG files I recently dl'ed [they're Pirates.Of.The.Caribbean.PROPER.SVCD.TS-TcS_CD1.MPG and the other 2 cd's actually]. Those files were, as someone told me in a chat, created as svcd's, so I wasn't able to play them directly on my computer. So I got the Elecard MPEG2 player. That basically works now, but the video stream lags about 10 seconds behind the sound stream. I am NOT running any cpu-intensive application and cpu is NOT running at its last breath when playing the video. I'm pretty sure that there's no sync error in the movie files themselves. So could anybody please tell me what to do in order to get these *** movies running correctly? My system is: AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1,0 GHz @ 1,1 GHz 512 MB Sd-Ram PC133 @ ca. 140 MHz ASUS V7700 GeForce 2 GTS 32 MB WinXP pro, Windows Media player 9, WinAMP 2.91, Elecard MPEG2 player 1.3 Please help me, I tried everything I could think of and it's still f***ed up. scheffe
What you have is a classic case of audio-video desynch. To fix it try this: 1. Make a backup copy 2. Open VirtualDub and the movie 3. Audio --> Interleaving --> Delay Audio by 10 Sec 4. VIdeo --> Direct Stream Copy 5. File --> Save as AVI
