video quality

    Does anyone know the video quality on a 56-inch widescreen HDTV?

    Expect to See some Macroblocking at least at the Default size setting, it's not horrendous thou

    I'll try and test ratDVD. I don't have a HDTV, but I've got a 65" bigscreen I can play it back on.

    nah ... I got as far as getting it to .ratDVD file, but haven't done the coversion back. I'll give it a go this weekend

    I just unratted gothika and played back on my 52" rearprojection tv(Not HD) and you could hardly see the blocking. It only blocked in scenes of like close ups of peoples faces. Average Joe wouldnt notice it, but if your in this forum you would.

    Note the movie was ratted from an already dvdshrunk backup that I had, and I only ratted the movie not the menus or other features.
    My quality setting was 95.
