The other night I was plaing Call of Duty 4 and it froze in the middle of a game. I turned it off and waited a few minutes and turned it back on. It started working till it got to the Activision screen and then froze again. I turned it off and waited ten minutes before turning it back on. When I hit the power button on the console the middle power button in the ring turned green like it was on and you can hear it running but the tv screen was still blue from the video channel. I don't know if it is the AV cables. I took a look at it and didn't notice anything but not sure what to look for. Not sure if that is the problem or not. The ring around the power button is comepletely gray. It's not even picking up the wire controller for player one. Any ideas or suggestions please let me know!! Thanks!
This happened to me when I was borrowing my friends 360. I don't think it liked being transported around in a backpack! I tried turning it on (with the right AV channel selected), turning it off, then turning it on again straight away. Try turning it on with the controller (holding down the big live button), or by pressing the eject button instead.
I tried that when it happened. I actually hit the eject button and it started working then froze the screen and that was the last time it worked. Microsoft is trying to charge me 150 dollars just to look at it. Does anyone know some where else that can fix it and for a good price??
