What is a good software for video editing? i want to be able to take a few videos i recorded with my cam, edit a few clips off and splice them together.
what kind of files are they? if they are mpegs, use videoredo plus, it splices and joins mpegs without reencoding, no quality loss. It's frame accurate and works quite well.
I think that Windows Movie Maker will do what you are asking. It isn't the best software but it will do what you need. VirtualDub is video editing software. I have used it briefly and it has a lot of features. The problem I found was that it was complicated to use but if you can find a guide on the internet you should be able to do what you want in no time. If you don't mind about the .wmv format and all you want to do it cut and stick clips together then Windows Movie Maker should be fine for that. You can always convert the file with Super afterwards to whatever file type you need. As jony218 said what file types are they? Doorbz
They are avi files, but i could make them into mpegs. Thanks i will try that software you guys suggested
