hey so ive got a whole bunch of videos on my ipod and before i go and delete them off my computer i want to make sure i can get them back off my ipod and onto my pc. i was wondering if there is a program that will get the videos off, ive got one for the music but it doesnt recognize the video.

i know about going through the ipod_control hidden folder but i have a hell of a lot of videos on it and sebga.mp4 could be any of them. i guess im looking for a program thatll read the tag data so i dont have to try renaming all my movies myself. thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, you will have to rename them yourself as they are changes by the iPod. But, that is only under the 'name' section. If you put a reference to the movie under the 'artist' tag (which isn't altered) then it will make your job of renaming your video files a whole lot simpler :)

Sharepod has worked the best for me! After useing the old-fashion method, copypod and haveing probs I decited to try sharepod and it worked perfectly! Even for all 88 of my Videos!

Domreis - what sorts of problems did you get with the 'old-fashioned' method?

iTunes didnt convert the songs back to there normal name, (only songs from limewire though) So I used sharepod for those!

I found that if you put them in the iTunes folder instead of draging them into iTunes and imported them into iTunes it worked froe some!
