video transfer

i have a jvc mini dv camcorder and i want to transfer the video i record from this onto my computer and edit it using movie maker. what do i need to do to transfer the video to my computer.

For video edition I wouldn´t work with MovieMaker(it´s ok for domestic video, but...); try other software like Premiere, Studio, Ulead, etc...
