Is this file required to copy to a disc. I can play a movie on a hard drive without it. I notice this file is not on every DVD when analyzed with DVD-Decrypter. I think I have followed the guides for this process. I was recently trying to backup Toy Story to no success.

usually the video_ts.vob file is the menu video and audio, but sometimes discs have a dummy video_ts.vob file and will use a vts_01_0.vob as the main menu files..

I usually do my backups with only the movie, since i hate to wait for a cheesy menu to load and i don't care about the extras and it makes the process a less involved one.

    hope that helps ya out...

make sure when you use dvddecrypter that in the mode tab, you have file f selected. If the video_ts file is on the dvd it should show up.
