   A "quick and dirty" method that works for many video file formats is
   VSO DivxToDvd freeware:
   http://www.download.com/VSO-DivXtoDVD-Converter/3000-7970_4-10376028.html?tag=lst-0-1
   
   It can input more than Divx files. But, it doesn't work on everything.
   So if it doesn't work come back and give some details what you are working with.
