virgin box

    hi guys i ahve a virgin media hd plus box,with the original card (not the new card) .i wondered if i link to my router via ethernet cable would i get any channels? i do have a kryptview 780 box going into the router

    Alas no. One of the reasons we have to flash the A780 is to basicaly tell the A780 to broadcast to a specific IP address (a specific computer known as a server) to request the decrypting information.
    So even though the decrypting info is coming in to your router via your A780 ethernet cables request, your Virgin box will just drop the information (packets) as it has no clue what do do with it or what it is.

    this is prob why your box did not work the first time i bet you had your 780 running of the the back of the virgin box via the output cable mmmm now we are getting somewhere
