I seem to be having a problem using Virtual Dub with an audio file greater than 1 GB.

I used DVD2AVI 1.76 to create the sound and wav files from ripped DVD files, and both turned out to be greater than 1 GB. I have DIVX 5.01 codec and the Fraunhofer MP3 codecs loaded.

Virtual Dub can see the video file, and it loads the WAV file. I am using direct processing for the video, and WAV to MP3 compression (128/48), interleaving 500 ms, volume at 200%, and full processing for the video.

When I do this, I don't get any audio in the saved AVI file.

Any suggestions? Or, can someone suggest another product instead of Virtual Dub to use.

Encode the audio separately as described in our DVD-DivX guide (in article section) with CDEx/LAME and load that audio to your encoded video and save the whole thing.
