I tried to join to avi's together. By opening a avi file then i went Audio>Direct copy then Video > Direct copy. Then went File > Append avi segment then i got a error saying "cannot append segment the video streams are of differnt sizes (720x480 vs 352x480)" Help would be great thanks! Jozza321
True. You cannot join two files of different resolution. But you could: 1) convert AVI1 to DVD movie 1; 2) convert AVI2 to DVD movie 2; 3) join 1 and 2, since now both files are MPEG 720x480/576 (NTSC/PAL) [standard DVD movies]. Or you can author a DVD containing many movies inside it. I dont think that movie 1 and movie 2 are two helves of the same movie, but you could even join them in the same movie. But, what do you want? A DVD containing many movies ot a DVD containing many pieces of a movie joined in only one movie, like movie_CD1.avi + movie_CD2.avi = movie.avi? (but I don't think this is the case. Why should save movie_CD1 720x480 and movie_CD2 352x480?)
aldaco12, Thanks for the reply. Is what i have done i have ripped a dvd movie to my computer with Imtoo dvd ripper which converted the dvd to avi well axully it made to avi files so i wanted to join them together so i could make it one whole movie on in just one avi. Thanks Jozza321
