Not that I've ever seen. Just click video, filters, add, and try a few. The effects can be seen immediately in the right hand pane. Usually "Sharpen" at no more than 20, "HSV adjust" to increase colour saturation a bit, and maybe the "Levels" filter for added contrast or brightness (Levels works MUCH better than the actual brightness/contrast filter).
Thank mate, can you answer a question fpr me about virtualdub? i get error message after about 1 hour saying not enough space on hard drive ,when i have 40gig free space, cant understand why ,
might be in full processing mode in which it will take up about a 100 gigs hd space. Make sure the video is on direct stream copy, and the audio is on direct stream copy and source audio.
one other question about "audio is on direct stream copy and source audio" I Cannot see any audio options ,video yes. and it wont let me do direct video streams,
I'm not too sure about using the filters on Vdub cause I only use it for joining avi files.....thing to remember is that it is very hard to get abetter quality out of an avi file..once the quality is lost it is lost. As far as not being able to select direct stream copy in the video tab..thats a new one to me and I am sorry but cant help. Perhaps doing a search for a guide would be usefull...
You can only use Direct Stream Copy if you're not changing the video in any way. Because you're adding filters, you'll have to re-encode, or save it uncompressed, which will result in an EXTREMELY huge file. The way around this, is to use virtualdub to frameserve to your encoder.
