I need help using Virtual Dub. I'm trying to work with a movie to crop it into smaller peices for easier use, but it seems everytime I crop a portion out of this file the audio doesn't syncronize with the video by about 5 seconds. I also get an error message saying: Virtual Dub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 7437 ms of skew through the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 156.6 ± 26.2 kbps) My question is How do I do this do what this error message is telling me?
Well first you have to decompress the audio in the Video Stream... To do this you load your AVI into V-Dub and then go to "Video" and set it to "Direct Stream Copy" and go to "Audio" and set it to "Full processing Mode" and then go to "File" to "Save as AVI" and save the Fil;e and in a Few Minutes youy will have a New AVI file and this is the AVI file you edit.... Also you "MUST" edit AVI files on KeyFrames so make sure when you select the Cut Position that you use the KeyFrame Buttons to select the Cut Position or you will have Sync Problems..... Cheers
