Hi, I want to join 3 AVI files, say, file A,B,C I follow the procedure in your guide, which is also the same reported in other websites, but I cannot succeed. Here what happens. I open A, then append B, then append C then Video Direct Stream and finally save as AVI. I get, A+B+C+B The strange thing is that I can see in the bottom slider the right file size, every file is in fact 250 MB, so I see 750, but when it saves the estimated file size is 940MB. I thought it was a bug in 1.6.11, then I tried 1.6.13, but same problem. Ideas? Thanks Alex
Well it doesn"t seem like that Much of a Problem.... So why can"t you take the A+B+C+B file you saved and Subtract the Last "B" and you will end up with A+B+C ??
Hi, Simple, because I have to merge around 50 AVI files here and there and also because in principle it should not do what it is doing. Bug? Alternatives to merge properly and without getting upset? Alex
Well Hopefully this will not Happen with every set of Files so Just deal with it for these Files and hopefully the next Batch should be OK.... It might just be haveing a Problem with these Particular Files as You said it worked Fine Before and It works File For evey one else so it Probably is Just these Files.... Good Luck
OK guys, here is the reason: VirtualDub automatically appends sequentially numbered segments. My files are sequencially numbered and VirtualDub messes up with the them unless I disable the "Autodetect additional segments by filename" option in the file append dialog. Or it's because of a bug or there is a valid reason...always Regards Alex
