VirtualDub error..

    Wheneva i try to save the file i split..
    i get this message

    "The source videostream uses a compression algorithm which is not compatible with AVI files. Direct stream copy cannot be used with this video stream."

    anyone knows whats going on???

    Is it avi file or are you trying to direct stream copy mpg file? it doesnt work with mpgs.

    DAT files are normally either MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files. Extract the data out of it using VCDGear to make it "pure" MPEG file and then use DV-Tool to split it -- instructions for splitting can be found from our article section.
