VirtualDub load up error,,,,

    new to virtualdub,,, just tried to run the program, tried to open an xvid/avi file and recieving the following error:

    "couldn't locate the decompressor for XVID (unknown)
    virtualdub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatable codec to decompress video. directshow codecs, such as those used by windows media player, are not suitable"


    can anybody give me any help with the problem above, using analogX DXMan proggy, shows the Xvid mpeg-4 video decoder does exist on my system, along with the ac3 filter pack and parser.

    installed the file you posted,,,, didn't work, still getting same error, rebootted, and no luck

    any other clues, suggestions??

    Find and install the following file DivX511Bundle.exe
