Hi Maybe I missed something, but when working with AVI's, I sometimes need to change the bitrate for the audio track. However, when I select the MPEG layer 3 compression option, the maximum bitrate is 56 @ 24000hz. I assumed that the output file would be 56 bit 48000 Hz in stereo i.e 24000 hz per channel, but it is not, the output is 24000 hz. (According to GSPOT) I would like to create MPEG layer 3 audio @ 128, 160 or 226 @ 44100 Hz. Is there additional audio codec settings that can be loaded into virtualdub to allow me to this, and where can I get them? Or would I have to split the audio off my original file, re-encode it with other software, then multiplex it back together? Thanks for any pointers Regards Graham UK
I have managed to fix it myself. I have installed the Lame MP3 codec to my system, which has been recognised by VirtualDub. Cheers
