Hey, i just downloaded virtual dub, and i tried to open an avi movie, and the following message appeared: Couldn't locate decompressor for formtat "DIV3" (Microsoft High-Speed MPEG-4V3 [Hack: Divx Low-Motion]) VirtualDub requires a video for Windows (vfw) compatible codec to decompress video Direct show codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player are not suitable. I really don't know what that means, but i really need this program. (By the way, when i try to open the avi movie, there's a small real player sign on the movie) Please help me!, Thanks in advance.

Install DivX or ffdshow (make sure that DivX3 support is enabled for VfW decoding).

    Hello,
I have just installed VirtualDub. I tried to use it to convert avi with QPel. I ran out of space. The final size would be 46 Gb! I have not found any guide on the program and would appreciate your help.

You need to select and configure a video codec. Otherwise you get raw RGB24.

    Hello Celtic_d,
If you advise me how, it would be of a great help. I know a bit more today, but a good advice would be a good shotcut for me.
