hi ive downloaded and tried a free virus scan, it said it found 9 viruses and then asked me to pay $25 to get rid of them. ive got avg but cant get my updates somethings stoping me, and it doesnt pick up anything, ive downloaded avast antivirus and its STILL running saying its slow is an under statement,. i know theres something on my pc that just aint right, can anyone sugest a good virus scanner or something i can do to sort out my problems please. thankyou

same as Oriphus said avg is free and its pretty good to only reason I moved on was you had to update via an email you needed to click on dunno if its still that way or not ..... guess I am just lazy
Yeah I used AVG for about 2 yrs. It was a pretty good program. I never got a virus... Now I use Nortan Anti-Vir. 2004. No problems so far.... I suggest you use AVG if you won't want to spend cash... Hope this helped
