oh boy, you're really infected with fake anti-spyware programs...

    Download Smitfraudfix: http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php

    - Unzip smitfraudfix, do not run yet

    Download VundoFix: http://www.filepedia.com/desktop_software/desktop_security/vundofix.cfm

    Download AVG AntiSpyware: http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

    - Install, update, do not run a scan yet...we will later...

Might want to copy and paste the instructions onto your note pad from your desktop...

Instructions: Boot your computer into safe mode: http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

Once in safe mode, run [bold]Smitfraudfix.cmd[/bold] (from inside the unzipped folder of smitfraudfix

Choose Option #2, follow the onscreen insctructions. Here's a graphical guide: http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.php

Once you are done with Smitfraudfix, run VundoFix...

After it is done scanning and removing the malware, run AVG AntiSpyware:

Select [bold]Scanner[/bold], then select the [bold]Settings[/bold] tab and click on "Recommended Actions", select [bold]Quarantine[/bold]. Click on the [bold]Scan[/bold] tab and select [bold]Complete System Scan[/bold]... The scanning may take a long time depending how big your hard drive is and how much stuff you have...

After you are done, run Hijack This, choose first option where you can save a log...post a new log from Hijack This in your next response...

Also, post a log from AVG AntiSpyware...

This will take some time to disinfect your computer...

Have you unzipped the files from smitfraudfix?

    If yes, boot into safe
please open the folder and run smitfraudfix.cmd, run option #2, and follow the instructions...

The pchell link was provided to help you boot into safe mode, if you did not know how to do so...

    There no programs to buy...

    After running smitfraudfix, run VundoFix

    Windows XP

If Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer, booting into Safe Mode with these instructions.

If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.
To use the System Configuration Utility method

    Close all open programs.
Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG in the box and click OK
The System Configuration Utility appears, On the BOOT.INI tab, Check the "/SAFEBOOT" option, and then click OK and Restart your computer when prompted.
The computer restarts in Safe mode.
Perform the troubleshooting steps for which you are using Safe Mode.
When you are finished with troubleshooting in Safe mode, open MSCONFIG again, on the BOOT.INI tab, uncheck "/SAFEBOOT" and click OK to restart your computer
Windows as part of a multiboot system

Use this method ONLY if you have multiple operating systems installed on your computer.

If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
When the Boot loader menu (list of the available operating systems) appears, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the version Windows what you want
Press Enter, and then immediately begin tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
Scroll to and select the Safe mode menu item, and then press Enter.

ok, you ran ran vundofix and found nothing...ok...

    have you used smitfraudfix, yet?

    - Run option #1

Once you have used it, a log will be saved onto your hard drive, usually located @ C:\rapport.txt

Copy and paste the contents of that log

A shut down is not required. Safe mode is a special way of booting into Windows without loading all the usual stuff that would have run during a normal boot up. That way, it helps users out to clean/disinfect their computer...Sometimes, it is hard to disinfect if you were to boot into Windows normally...

The link I supplied you from pchell contains instructions on how to do so...

Alternatively, you can use this program to help get you into safe mode if you find the instructions from that link hard to follow:

    BootSafe: http://superadblocker.com/bootsafe.html
