I am new to this burning of DVDs thing.
I have downloaded from Torrent Reactor and Mini nova, and burned a couple of things using Azureus, mainly AVI files, and successfully converted the files, saving to hard drive first and then burned and then played on both PC and DVD player, however, my latest attempt will burn and play on PC but not on DVD player???
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you are in North America, is there any chance that you created PAL DVD files instead of the required NTSC?
This would be at the point when you converted the AVI files and the converter should have a setting which allows either 'Video Type' or 'TV Type'.
Many converters default to 'Automatic' and create output files with the same video format as the input.

If you are using Nero Vision to convert AVI to DVD, then 'More' 'Default Video Options' lets you select the video mode.

Thanks for your advice, I can't recall seeing the Nero Smart encoding area on that screen, but I have selected PAL.
    It's Nero Visionexpress 2 I am using??
    I will try again tonight.
    Thanks
