Seagate seems to not have anything for Vista yet. I need help installing an additional SATA II Seagate hard drive. I did add an Ultra ATA from Maxtor. I had to set it up in my winXP machine first, then switch to the Vista machine and it worked...
Yea i think hes talking about usbs too because they are really the only ones you have to install. (most of the time) And to answer the question wait until they make one it shouldnt be too long from now i mean vista is spreading now.
A lot of drivers (for anything) are not compatible with vista. So it all depends on the make/model or version of the HD you're using
For one thing he is talking about a internal sata drive if you read his post. Also as I stated before Iam running a USB 400 gig just fine with Vista. I think he is just having a hard time setting up two sata drives or something like that. Unless he is using a 64 bit version which there is a problem with drivers 32bit there is very little problems with drivers. There still having driver issues with 64 bit XP
Sorry he didnt really say which one he was using you kinda had to guess. But yea if you have the 32 bit version then you should be alright. And try to look for drivers for your hd on the seagate website.good luck
