So here's how it is, i got vista with my new dell desktop and for a while it ran perfectly. But within the past month or 2 it has been getting super buggy as far as sound goes. For example i play counter strike 1.6 and now the sound on it dosent work and same thing for world of warcraft. And even more recently when i try to play music on itunes it wont play. The bar just stays at the 0:00 mark, i can still buy music and update my ipod, just that one thing wont work and it makes me sad :[
so if you have had the same problem lemme know cuz i need help
P.S. (i tried reinstalling the sound drivers and it didnt help at all)

Wow man, i feel bad for you, i have had some nasty run-ins with sound problems.
All i can think of is reinstalling all drivers(i know u already tried that)
GO into all sounds options and make sure the card is set as the primary audio device, and that the sound is all the way up.
Get a new updated version of directx, that actually helps sound and video.
    Go to start/run/dxdiag

and find the directsound tab, and test your sound.
If still nothing, check the event viewer

start/control panel/administrative tools/ event viewer, and look for the red x's on the side of the logs

im sure one of them has to do with your sound problem.
just post the errors here by using the ctrl + c command.

And we can take it from there.
