VLC media file (.bin) to DVD. noob help

    So I've downloaded some Torrents that I'd like to burn to DVD. These are not, however, the usual AVI files and appear to be of the .bin format.
    Could someone tell what I need to make a DVD that will work on my DVD player.
    Thanks a million.
    ps: I'd prefer if I didn't have to use Nero.

    A .bin is an image file that Imgburn should be able to burn directly to disc for you.

    So I have imgburn and ca't figure out what to do.
    Bare in mind that I want to create a DVD that will work on my DVD player.
