    Me again. How do I record a saved video file while it is playing. By way of explanation I insert a dvd, open VLC, use the RECORD button while the dvd is playing. The player closes at end of disc. Now for a SAVED video file the process should be the same. Open VLC, open MEDIA tab, network stream, paste URL, video opens, record, OR open MY VIDEOS, choose file, file opens, record. The RECORD does not record a saved file. It does record a dvd. Why is this? Solutions?
