Why do all my Nero DV-AVI to VOB transcodings get broken up at .99 GB? Can this breaking up be fixed? When I try to burn a video that is "longer" than .99GB it will not play on a stand alone player. I'm left to edit/break up the file prior to the .99 point and have the second segment start automatically...but it is an ugly transition. Doesn't lend make for a good music video. Any ideas out there short of getting better authoring software? (which is the obvious answer)
any single VOB file must never be greater than 1 GB in size for compatibility with set top players (1gb is the max agreed on VOB file size set by the DVD standard). Thus many movies may contain & span several VOB's - as a single 1gb VOB file will hold only approximately 27 minutes of material if recorded in the SP mode. VOB files larger than 1gb may play ok on your computer, but playback on most standalone players is doubtful. Read more here: http://www.videointerchange.com/dvd.htm#DVD Construction
