Volume Normalize Filter in Nero 6.6.0.6 EE, How do u Normalize Volume while converting Mp3z to Audio CD?

Hello,
Can someone please explain to me how the Normalize filter works in Nero ? I have Mp3z that are recorded on different volume settings and they sound different when I play them back after burning them to an audio CD. I'd like to what the settings in the Normalize filter works in nero and if it will help me. If not ? can anyone suggest another way of normalizing Volume while recording Mp3z to an Audio CD ?
