heres the thing..i downloaded a movie, encoded,authored, and burned it onto a dvd..turns out the dvd audio volume is wayy too low i would have to turn the audio way up on my tv to hear it and its quite inconvenient..i think it had somethign to do with the original source file being too low too..but anyways, id like to increase the volume of that dvd, soo..anybody know how to go at it?
You need to 'normalize' the audio of the movie with a factor > 100% (for example, with TMPGenc, on Setings____Audio, once you checked 'use audio edit' and pressed 'Settings'. (You could extract the audio from the video input you obtain and use it toghether the basic video, so you don't change the video quality caused by the re-encode of the video. Or you need to extract the audio and normalize it with a factor > 100%, if you have a suitable encoder [I know HeadAC3he - dood encoder - but it only allows a 'normalization' < 100%] ). But you didn't say which type of input file do you have (a .M2V + an audio stream (.WAV, .AC3) or a .VOB?) and how do you 'author' your DVD, maybe the 'normalization' can be found on some 'authoring application' (which I don't know much)...
