Apolgies in advance if this has been answered elsewhere. Also apologies for double posting as I have previously posted this in DVD recorders forum with no takers as yet, but maybe it's more of software issue..... I have the Sony HXD710 DVD recorder and usually copy to DVD-RW in VR mode to avoid aspect ratio problems and have more flexibilty with chapters, finalising and re-writing etc. I want to make some permanent copies of recordings from the DVD-RW's onto DVD-R's (in video mode) so they can play on other DVD players as unfortunately VR Mode is not compatible with some players. Can this be done on a PC with something like Nero? Could I dub from -RW back to the Sony HDD and then dub again onto DVD-R in video mode? (This seems a long winded way though.) Any advice gratefully received. Thanks
Hello. I think both NeroVision (free trial) and TMPGEnc Author (free trial) import VR disks so you can output a disk with a VIDEO_TS folder. I believe you can also copy the .VRO file to your hard disk and give it an mpg extension which most programs will recognize and accept. If you have problems copying, try ISOBuster to open the disk and then copy to your hard disk by dragging out of ISOBuster. http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-demo.php http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/tda16.html http://www.isobuster.com
