I've been able to convert a DivX movie to Mpeg so i can burn it to a DVD-R. but in some movies when i used VirtualDub to create the WAV file it gives me this message: Virtualdub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 8ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an umcompress WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 128.0 + 0.1 kbps) I've ignore this message and went ahead and did it anyway, but when i use Tmpeg to convert the DivX to Mpeg. the finished mpeg's video does not match the audio sequence. the video is ahead of the audio. could any one help me out??? thanks for your input in advance.
try converting your audio to wav before using TMPGenc.. to do so, open the file in virtual dub.. click audio-->full processing mode, audio-->conversion, and change to 44100hz 16bit high quality stereo, then click file-->save wav. now open the movie in TMPGenc selecting the wav file as your audio source!
Hi guys, I just generated a DivX movie with Gordian Knot and wanted to split the AVI file to fit it on two CD's. When I open VirtualDub I get the same error message. The complete file plays well but after I split the files I get the same Sound-delay. Apparently I must have done something wrong in the set up of Gordian Knot - do you know how I can avoid this error?
use virtual dub.. video-->direct stream copy audio-->interleave-->audio skew correction 1000ms=1s positive number if audio playing too early, negative if too late file-->save avi best of luck!
