VSO not accepting particular avi files

Hi Guys
sorta ran into a prob while converting my avi files into movies
there particular avi files that are not being converted by VSO files....is there another software that can do this.....i even tried those file on winavi to convert to mpeg and then use TmpegEnc...but no go....apparently the prob is in the file....but it plays fine....i wonder wat it is.....if any one can help me solve this prob by any other software please let me know....

it is Xvid codec..
and audio is 0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3

Thats a link for a guide on converting avi's to dvd (a great newbie guide from a great memeber here on AD named alkohol)

ConvertXtoDVD, if that is what you used, should be your best shot. You might want to try some of the file fixers.
