has anyone got a solution to the problem i have with using this app,as i hate using nero, but that seems to be the only option at the minute

i can load most files in vso's app,but some of them previewed in the screen shrink to a small screen, with black surrounding the whole picture,
this mainly happens when using mpegs's extracted from bin images, but is not limited to this

    wtf ???

i have tried several codec packs, and the latest being k-lites full, although i am not convinced this is the answer,
i have been told its a bug in the app',but have not heard of anyone else having this problem,
(sorry for the multipost),posted in dvd-r,until i remembered this forum...:(

    any ideas????

as far as the preview screen goes, don't bother with it... i've burned 3/4 of my dvd's from avi/mpeg files using that program and it has worked fine... there has been one occasion though where i got vob file that was in 4:3 (i think that's where it's a square) instead of 16:9 (rectangle) even though i chose the force 16:9 option but i think that was because the original avi was weird. i don't think that your codecs have anything to do with it, i'd try encoding with that program and burning and then check to see if it shows up weird on your dvd player... all my burned dvd's look good in 16:9 on my ps2

HHMMMM if the outcome is 4:3 and the original was 16:9 you can always change it with IfoEdit after conversion is done.

    no,your missing the point,
when converted and burned the screen stays the same, approx the size of a cd jewel case, and thats on a 28" tv
its nothing to with the aspect ratio

there is either a bug in this app',or something wrong with the fps /codes of the download
