Hello all, Thank you for reading this.
I need help with installing Linux Mandriva, Limited 2006 Edition (Came with magazine, 3 cd's) I have 2 Hard drives, one totally empty and One almost full with Windows XP on it. I do not have a Pentium, And when I try to install it on my Hardrive it freezes on the first screen. Whic says:
    Press <F1> for more options,
Press <Enter> To install Or Upgrade.

Update: I Tried it again, I pressed enter, the loading bar underneath the text loaded, then went onto another loading screen, Then froze. I went to install it with LUI (only Text) and it stopped at these three lines:

    HDA: Imax request size=1024Kib
    HDA: Lost Interrupt
    HDA: Lost Interrupt

    Thanx

doh!, i was going to suggest that; hope you enjoy Mandriva, my favourite Linux distro by far, been using it since version 8.1.

i'm well impressed with the 2006 version, very stable for me on a few machines (32bit version) and the same can be said of the 64bit version on my laptop.

Mandriva 2007 is very good too, but so far only on the 32bit version; tried the 64bit version on my laptop and it's awful, some stuff just plain doesn't work, wasted hours on various simple things that just do not work; gonna stick with 2006 on there until Mandriva get the 64bit version up to snuff.
