I downloaded this game from 2 different ROM sites and put it on my R4 with 2GB kingston memory card. When I run it for the first time, it asks me if I would like to create a .sav file, to which I choose Yes. When I get to the start menu, I touch the screen, and it gives me an error message reading:

I also tried this on my brother's R4 and kingston memory card and got the same result.

Has anyone successfully downloaded and played the DS rom WALL-E? And did you have to do anything special to do so? Does anyone have any idea whats wrong?

I did this and I am still having the same problem. It's also happening with the game Trauma Center 2. Any other suggestions?

I tried deleting the old save file and making a new one with the new firmware but no luck.

Really? I had the same problem until I updated to 1.18... But it should work fine now, there aren't any other reasons I can think of that would cause that.

Not to doubt your intelligence, but you did copy over everything within the RAR archive, right?

Maybe try reformatting your card? Be sure to back your files up first.

Ah, I only extracted the moonshl folder last time.

Thanks for making me double check myself

Another issue with certain titles is you must have a matching eeprom size for instance if i try to run mario kart ds on a cart that runs a 64k eeprom the game will will not boot because mario kart requires a 512k eeprom in order to function it is the same if you try it with a ds emulator you have to set the eeprom the same way.

    Glad it's sorted.

Susieqqb, you continue to baffle me.

    For firecard/n-card users.
This games works on these cards, but it will cause all other games on the card NOT to work...even with the latest firmware.
delete the game. delete the 20 different wall-e save files it generates, then delete the 'last save' file which is in the DSYSTEM folder...
    ...& throw the game away.
your firecard will return to normal after this.
