I've been trying to find the best program to authoer my dvds and also, a program that will help me rip/extract footage off a dvd and be able to put it and use on a new dvd I am creating. I have a Mac and PC and while iDVD is good and easy to use, I still don't know how to extract footage from another dvd. I have a lot of sports gootage and family videos I want to put on a dvd with menus, have it chaptered etc. I was thinking of using TMPGEnc but would need to know a program to rip the footage off other dvds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
If they are home made vids, no ripping is necessary as they aren't encrypted. Just copy the files to your PC. If they are protected then DVD Fab HD Decrypter is good.
