hi i need a bit of help i just brought a pioneer DVDR-105 and im new to backing up dvds but what i want to know how to do is be able to keep the menu and the movie but take out all the extra features and the links on the main menu to the extra features off. is that possible?
I am doing this with a combination of DVDxCopy and DVD2One. Have a look at this thread. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/39199
thanx for replying so fast HeeHawBoz but is there a way to actully remove the link to special features all together?
That, I don't know. My way means you can still select the feature and you get a half-second of black screen followed by the menu again. If you want to hide any trace of the feature ever being there I'm not sure what to do, though I've heard it involves IFOedit.
yeah thats the program i normally use but the dvd im trying to do has alot of extra features that i dont really want and with dvd shrink you cant cut the the features and still keep the menu. I could just cut the menu all together but i like the look of having menus so if you know a way plz tell me
yea baabaa and friends have put some on www.chrismccann.co.uk click on the guides button left hand side then select shrink guide, you need to read it and make sure u dl the relevant parts as there are a couple of annexs, but its a fantastic guide
i looked at the guide and it still doesnt say how to keep the menu and totally get rid of the features
I worte the DVD Shrink Guide, and you're right it doesnt specifically mention how to get rid of the extra features and keep the menu. This is because DVD Shrink doesnt really sipport that function. What you can do is in Full Disk mode, select the menu option from the left. click on the plus to open up sub directories. Find out the size of the root directory. Go to the re-author mode and select the file that coincides with the right size. Preview it in the small window to see if its the right file. Im not sure this will work, in fact i dont think it will. Your other option is to create your own menu in TMPGEnc DVD Author Chris McCann
well you could use dvd stink but clondvd is better just untick the bits u dont want and as it has a preview window, u can see what your leaving out !
