I inherited an old custom built desktop (10 yrs old) and would like to rebuild/upgrade it just for the fun of it. I have no clue what it's got inside other than a 233mhz p2 and a tv tuner. How do I find out whats in the box? Is there a program I can run or do I have to open it up? How do I find out if new parts are compatible with old ones etc....? Appreciate all the help.

CPU-Z will tell you how fast your comp is, and what kind of mother broad you have, it will also tell you your RAM, but thats it, and it sounds like you have all that
